Java is a general-purpose programming language. The write once, run anywhere feature shot it to fame. Now, java frameworks exist.

A framework is a pre-written code that provides an application’s underlying structure. Frameworks make it easier to build applications. Programmers extend the framework or use pre-built framework components for their projects.

One of the most popular java frameworks is the spring framework. This framework implements java for the enterprise or J2EE. It triggers spring without the use of a web application or web server. Java is a solid choice for building general-purpose web applications.

The hibernate framework is an ORM or object-relational mapping framework. This framework allows java applications to work with databases more easily. It spares developers from writing repetitive code when working with the technology.

The struts framework supports java servlets, a key java server-side component. It creates low-maintenance web applications by using a model view controller or MVC approach. This approach organizes the main parts of a web application. It increases efficiency as well as application quality.
